H.J. Scarinzi, DO Scholarship

Dr. H.J. Scarinzi, or “Doc” as he was known, was a first generation Italian born in 1932. Doc spent the majority of his medical career as a rural general practitioner on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. He always valued education and hard work, and he helped students achieve their educational goals by creating scholarships, being a personal mentor and by teaching classes at a local community college. Doc’s impact on his community was immeasurable.
